Scouting for Families

Scouting for Families

We have *NEW* information resources for Scouting’s program for older girls 11 to 18 set to begin next February 1, 2019.  A feature of this program may see some girls joining a ‘Linked’ Scout-Troop-for-Girls that shares a Chartered Partner and even a Troop committee with a Scout-Troop-for-Boys, but where each troop has it’s own Scoutmaster and youth leaders.  (More info. is available here)

We continue to prepare for ‘Family Scouting’ in the Golden Empire Council.  Already a number of our council’s packs have become part of Cub Scouting’s ‘Early Adopter’ program.  Every other Pack that makes the choice will be eligible to add Dens of girls starting later this year in September 2018.

For information on all things ‘Family Scouting’ visit the council info. page (here or www.GEC-BSA.Org\girls) which is routinely updated and includes articles, videos, links to national’s ‘Family Scouting’ resources, and more.
