Story Of The Coin

When we first envisioned the concept for our new council logo we wanted to design a symbol of our council that would represent the entire region the council serves. For the northern area we thought of the most prominent landmarks, the mountains, Lassen and Shasta. For the 50/80 Corridor the Sierra's stood out.

Then, we wanted something to show the unity of the organization. So we utilized the two rivers, the American and the Sacramento coming together here in Sacramento. We also didn't want to leave out the agricultural history of the region so we decided on the lone orchard tree in a farm field.

The Council would like to thank Dax Castro for his graphics work, helping us to make this new symbol of the council a reality.
