Are you ready to take your Scouting experience to a new level?

Then Wood Badge for the 21st Century is for you!

Wood Badge is a leadership course that completes Scouting's Basic Leadership Training program for all levels of scouting (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, and Venturing). Please keep in mind that you must complete the required training for your registered position before attending Wood Badge.

This is a two-weekend training for adults only. Full-time participation in both weekends is required to be certified. Participation is limited to 48 Scouters, so make your reservations now.

Prerequisites:

Be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America
Complete Leader Specific training for your registered position (including appropriate Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills, if required for your position)
Must be capable of functioning safely in an outdoor environment
Annual BSA Health & Medical Record Parts A, B, and C signed by a certified or licensed healthcare provider

The Spring 2012 course will be held on Friday, April 20 through Sunday, April 22 AND Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6 at Camp Lassen (outside of Chico near Butte Meadows). Each session begins on Friday (approximately 7 AM) and ends on Sunday afternoon (approximately 6 PM). Please eat breakfast before arriving. Debbie Gordon is the course director. The Fall 2012 course will be held on Thursday, September 20 through Saturday, September 22 AND Thursday, October 11 through Saturday, October 13 at Camp Lassen. This non-Sunday session is perfect for those Scouters who choose not to miss their Sunday church services. Phil Haley is the Course Director.
