Day Camp

“To Infinity & Beyond”

Golden Empire Council
Northern Rivers District Day Camp 2007
June 25-28, 2007 (Mon-Thurs), 9:00am – 2:30pm

DAY CAMP IS FULL.

Day Camp Volunteer Leader Training

Attention Day Camp Volunteers:

Training will take place Tuesday, June 19th, beginning at 6:15pm at Scout Hall in Anderson River Park.  Please plan on arriving by 6:15pm to enjoy our pizza dinner, provided by Youth Program Suporters.

Training for all volunteers will begin promptly at 6:30pm.  We will then do some additional training for those serving as Den Leaders from ~7:15pm-7:45pm.  You will learn about your assignment at this meeting and also learn what we have in store for the week!  It is extremelly important that everyone attend this training so you are prepared BEFORE arriving for day camp--it makes a much better experience for both YOU and the boys, especially on that first hectic day.

Pack Leaders: Please be sure to forward this information onto your Pack so they can mark their calendar now!

See you on June 19th!

Volunteers Still needed!!

Attention Packs;

We are in need of more adult volunteers to work day camp.  Choose to help one day, two days, three days, or all four days of camp--parents, grandparents, siblings over 14 too!   Don't forget we need these forms in BEFORE camp at the Scout office.  The sooner we get the forms, the sooner we can plan assignments.

Packs are REQUIRED to send one adult for every 4 boys for EVERY DAY of camp.  Many packs are sending a 1:4 ratio, but the adults are only working 1 day--this is not enough--it must be per day so we have enough help out there.

Tickets go on sale starting next Monday, June 11th at the Scout office!

District Day Camp is 100% Volunteers!

Camp is not successful without the participation of parents and adult volunteers (including grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.)  Choose from a variety of positions and work one to four days of camp.  Please see adult volunteer application form for details.  Each Pack must provide one volunteer for every four Scouts attending.

Financial Aid and Camperships are available. Please contact your Pack Camp Coordinator for details and forms.  Please submit original aid forms to agency address separately and then submit a COPY of your aid paperwork with your camp registration form along with at least 50% registration fee payment by May 1 to your Pack Camp Coordinator.

Parents must provide transportation.  Carpooling arrangements with your Pack may be arranged, provided exact names are listed on authorized pick up list.  Scouts may be dropped off no earlier than 8:30am and must be picked up no later than 2:45pm each day.
