Scholarships

College Scholarships!

Every year the Council awards several college scholarships are available to Eagle Scouts.

1. The Wolfe Scholarship (up to $10,000)

2. American Ideals Scholarships (five at $1000 each)

Also for a Sea Scout, Venture Scout or Explorer who need not necessarily be an Eagle Scout.

1. The Jongeneel Scholarship of $1000.  

The requirements for all of the scholarships and a common application form can be found on the GEC website at: http://www.gec-bsa.org/resources/forms. Enter the "Forms Library", and then under "Administrative Forms", open the "Scholarship Application".

Complete applications for this year's scholarship must be sent to Council headquarters and post marked no later than February 28th.

Obviously winning a $1000 (or more) education scholarship could be a big help to a young person going on to college or vocational school. Let's get the word out to all our high school seniors who are Eagles, as well as to Sea Scouts, Explorers and Venture Scouts!
