Rio Del Oro - District Dinner Posted Feb. 28, 2010
The 2010 District Dinner, will be held May 8 starting 6pm. Three district awards will be presented - The Silver Beaver (highest District award), The Spark Plug (unit award), The Bollhoefer Scoutmaster Award. Nomination forms each of these awards must be delivered to specific individuals by April 30, 2010.

Gold Country - Scouting for Food Posted Sep. 1, 2009
Help the hungry people in your community by participating in this "National Good Turn" on November 7th. This food drive is easy, helpful, and rewarding. And our local food banks are counting on the Boy Scouts to fill their shelves!

Download and save this document for all the information you will need, including instructions, permission slip, and sample flier you can modify and print! Please use the updated 2009 list of local food banks in this document. Contact ONLY the person listed here to arrange your donation drop off at the food bank.

Come to September, October, and November Roundtables to get more information. You can also get bags for distribution and help with any questions you have. NOTE: all Units in Auburn and Grass Valley MUST select a neighborhood collection site at Roundtable.

Rio Del Oro - District Events Posted Feb. 26, 2010
At tonights district committee meeting, 2/25, the committee decided to hold the District Dinner on the evening of May 8, site to be determined, and the District Pinewood Derby on May 13, registration starts at 5pm racing at 6pm.

Flyer's, with more information, will be available by March's Roundtable.

Rio Del Oro - RDO Day Camp Posted Feb. 28, 2010
Rio Del Oro Day Camp will be held at Mather Heights Elementary from June 10-12. Early bird registration end April 8th for $45 and then it goes up to $65 April 9 -June 10th. Adults are $10 and Scout helpers are Free. There is one change this year we are now requiring 1 adult per 3 Scouts.

Amador - Amador District Round Table Posted Jan. 17, 2010
Amador District Round Table is for adult leaders of Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Varsity Teams, and Venture Crews. This program offers on-going training, help and ideas to enrich your scouting experince and to improve your unit's program. Round Table is held every third Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 12924 Ridge Road in Sutter Creek, at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Rio Del Oro - Woodbadge 2010 Course Posted Nov. 20, 2009
Have you been to Wood Badge? If the answer is no or it’s yes, but you went before 2001, then mark your calendars for Wood Badge 2010. The dates are May 14-16, 2010 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and the second part is May 21-23, 2010 (also Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Participation during both sessions is required. The training will be held at Camp Lassen.

Attached is the brochure for the 2010 WoodBadge Course. Online registration should be available in the next week or two. If you are interested in attending, please let me know and I will be sure to notify you when registration is available.
