    Neil planted approximately 3 dozen native trees and set up irrigation to water them in the Swainson's Grassland Preserve.

    Cameron worked at his church removing two storage units (saving money) and consoldated the contents and built shelf units.

    Garrett built a chicken coop and shade structure to allow 4H members to raise chickens there instead of their homes.

    Kyle did a gardening project for the Women's Club of Lincoln. He removed the old shrubs and planted new plants with a drip irrigation system.

    Erik refurbished the Women's Hall (a registered historic place) for the 100th anniversary. He repaired walls and did a lot of painting.

    Brent built two display cases for the Museum for the Rocklin Historical Society to display tiles used as a fundraiser.

    Travis planned and constructed a horse shelter for "A Chance for Bliss" Animal Sanctuary.

    Troy built and painted 20 surf boards to use in kids classrooms at his church (a rented facility). This added color and made the space their own.

    David saw the need for sports equipment for schools in Baja Mexico. He collected sports equipment and stuffed animals then sent it to Mexican Schools through YES (Youth Education and Sports) Foundation.

    Ryan made two concrete benches at the confluence of the North and Middle Forks of the American River in Auburn. The benches had leaves and acorns designs.

    Brigham got damaged clothing from a uniform rental company and fixed the items up so that they could be used by the homeless. He donated the items to St. Vincent de Paul in Sacramento.

    Zack replaced the entire filtration system and multiple valves and put in new sprinkler heads for a playing field at Penryn Park. This field is used by Rugby and Lacrosse teams from Del Oro High School and other groups.

    Brian restored and revamped the Outdoor Prayer Center at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He also installed backings for the benches so they would be more comfortable for older individuals.

    Zach raised money to buy items for an Orphanage in Kabale, Uganda. This project was working with the Roseville Prepatory School too. Shoes were given to kids who were five, six and eight years old (the first pair they ever owned).

    Timothy cleaned out all of the weeds and garbage from the planters around the First Street School in Lincoln. He relandscaped the area so that the students could have pride in their school.

    Joshua built garbage can surrounds for two cemetaries, one in Lincoln and one in Sheridan. These hid the garbage cans and made the cemetaries more attractive.

    Zach built a two foot retaining wall around an old oak tree at the Mount Saint Joseph Seminary. It is in the domitory courtyard and will be a place to meditate.

    Colin made a workplace where kids can study plant life in a controlled environment. He built this at H Clarke Powers Elementary School.

    Alex built a three bin compost system for Sierra Elementary School for teaching recycling.

  • Kevin P. , Team 203.
    Kevin responded to a fatal accident in his neighborhood involving skateboarders and a truck. He made two Private Property Signs and six Speed Limit Signs to prevent this type of accident from occuring again. He learned a lot about working with the Home Owner's Association.

    Landon's Eagle Project was collecting food for the Ronald McDonald House in Sacramento. This is located next to children's hospitals and serves the families of kids who are staying in the hospital. They rely on donations for all their needs except water and electricity.

    Justin's Eagle Project was building an overlook platform for the main waterfall of Hidden Falls Regional Park.

    Trevor's Eagle Project was cleaning up and building a planter box in a garden area at Sierra Elementary School. He put in an irragation system too.

    Jarrod's Eagle Project was making a 150 foot path from one church building to another using decomposed granite and broken chunks of concrete at the 1st Baptist Church of Rocklin.

    Ben's Eagle Project was changing, fixing and repairing over a hundred sprinkler heads at Penryn Park. Part of the challenge was to prevent gophers from damaging the new sprinklers. Bricks were put down underneath each sprinkler head.

    Garrett's Eagle Project was cleaning up a historical landmark at Virginiatown Road and Gold Hill Road. He did a lot of landscaping and put in a bench.

    I made 40 school kits and 40 hygiene kits that consisted of more than 7 types of supplies in each kit, all of which I asked to be donated. This included purchased items of 80 combs, soap, toothbrushes and sewing kits. Hand made items included sewn bags with a drawstring to hold everything. After I received everything I supervised a group to put them together. I then delivered in person the kits to the LDS Humanitarian Center in Salt Lake City.     I prepared the ground and installed a path that bends around a pond used for many science projects. The path is about 140 feet long and 4" deep. I filled the path with "smooth pea" gravel. There are two low spots so I installed PVC pipe to help drain those areas. Total people involved = 24, total hours = 231.

    I made 200 hygiene kits. Each kit included: 2 unbreakable combs, 2 toothbrushes, 1 tube of toothpaste, 1 regular bar of soap, 4 travel size shampoo or 1 8 oz. container of shampoo, 1 hand trowel, 1 sewing kit, and 1 one-gal. plastic bag. These kits were distributed world wide by the LDS Center to people in need.

    I designed and built a bird aviary 7 ft. tall with two rooms (4' X 6' & 8' S 6'). Underneath the aviary is pea gravel that is used as drainage, a sturdy foundation and leveling the surface. The person needed an aviary to be an efficient rehabber and reduce trauma to the wildlife. The aviary is now the property of Department of Fish and Game. Total people involved = 10, total hours = 91.

    I had my community help me put together 1000 education kits to go to the children in Swaziland, Africa. We made bags and put note books, pencils, chalkboards, erasers, rulers and pencil sharpeners in them. I also taught our local school children about Swaziland and they wrote letters of inspiration to put in each kit. I also met with the Swaziland delegate, Mr. Joel Nahleko and was given the title "Honorary Ambassador to Swaziland". Total people involved = 98, total hours = 604.
