Adult Training for Varsity Scouting
- Youth Protection:
- New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training before submitting an application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time the application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins. Youth Protection Training must be completed every two years to remain current.
- Varsity Leader Fast Start:
- Online training for new leaders, committee members and interested parents. Designed to give a new leader the basic information to put on a successful varsity program.

This includes Training Varsity Coaches, Assistant Varsity Coaches and Committee members.
BSA Safe Swim Defense -- Online - Adults need this training before summer activities that involve water activities.
- Safety Afloat -- On
- Adults need this training at Roundtable before summer activities that involve water activities.
- Varsity Huddles:
- Share ideas and supports all levels of team leadership. Held the third Thursday of each month at the Rocklin LDS Stake Center.
- Woodbadge:
- Advanced training for Scout Leaders. This experience involves eight days and seven nights. It can also be offered on three weekends. Participation is for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and others directly in support of troop operation.
- Merit Badge Counselor Orientation:
- For new Merit Badge Counselors.
- National Volunteer Training Center Conferences:
- Held at Philmont Scout Ranch, Cimmaron, New Mexico. Contact District Executive for information.
- High Adventure:
- This team offers a series of programs for Scouters in specific areas, Back Pack Awareness, Cold Weather Training, Advanced Trek Planning and Basic Paddle Sports. Contact person: District Executive, District Training Chair, High Adventure Team Member.
