Venture Leader Basic Training

This includes -->Training for the following leaders: Cubmasters, Asst. Cubmasters, Tiger Cub Den Leaders, Den Leaders, Webelos Den Leaders, Pack Committee Members, Scoutmasters, Asst. Scoutmasters, Troop Committee, Crew Advisors and Committee members, Venture Coaches and Committee members.

Youth Protection:
A 64-minute video designed for the distributing of information about Youth Protection policies, such as barriers to abuse within Scouting. Contact person: District Executive, District Training Chair, Designated Assistant within the unit. Often presented at Roundtable.

Roundtable:
Share program ideas, gain valuable training, designed to support all levels of troop leadership. Supplemental training is provided each month on the third Thurs. of each month (Aug.- Jul.)
BSA Safe Swim Defense --
Adults need this training at Roundtable before summer activities that involve water activities.

Safety Afloat
Adults need this training at Roundtable before summer activities that involve water activities.

Venture Leader Fast Start:
A video for new leaders, committee members and interested parents. Designed to give a new leader the basic information to put on a successful Venture program.

Woodbadge:
Advanced training for Scout Leaders. This experience involves eight days and seven nights. It can also be offered on three weekends.
National Volunteer Training Center Conferences:
Held at Philmont Scout Ranch, Cimmaron, New Mexico. Contact District Executive for information.

High Adventure:
This team offers a series of programs for Scouters in specific areas, Back Pack Awareness, Cold Weather Training, Advanced Trek Planning and Basic Paddle Sports. Contact person: District Executive, District Training Chair, High Adventure Team Member.
