HISTORY
The first Pinewood Derby was held in 1953 by Cub Scout Pack 280C of Manhattan Beach, California. The first reference to the Pinewood Derby in a Scout publication was in the October, 1954 issue of Boy's Life. The June, 1955 Program Helps listed "Wheels, Wings, and Things" as a theme. The Cub Scout Program Quarterly gave instructions for running the Pack Meeting Derby. Over 15 million kits were sold during the next 20 years. Today, over 80 million car kits have been sold.

Amador - Emergency Preparadness Fall Camporee Posted Jun. 4, 2008
The Amador District Emergency Preparadness Fall Camporee September 26-28, 2008 will be at Howard Park in Ione, Ca.Scouts can earn the Emergency Preparadness Merit Badge.
Police, Fire, National Guard and many other agencies will be in attendance.

Amador District Round Table is for adult leaders of Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Varsity Teams, and Venture Crews. This program offers on-going training, help and ideas to enrich your scouting experince and to improve your unit's program. Round Table is held every third Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 12924 Ridge Road in Sutter Creek, at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Amador - Amador District Cub Scout Day Camp Posted Jun. 4, 2008
Amador District Cub Scout Day Camp, Cub Scouts of the Round Table, Saturday, August 2,2008 Times: 9:00 - 4:00 pm at Howard Park in Ione, Ca. Cost $30.00 per cub scout and $20.00 per adult. This will be an excellent event, some highlights are Medieval themed Games, Arts and Crafts, Archery, BBGun Range, Leather work, and other fun events, lunch ,snacks and drinks are included in the price.
