The theme is "Rendezvous 1831." From 1825 to 1841 the trappers, hunters and explorers of the West, Mountain Men, would hold a Rendezvous to meet with fur traders to trade their furs for supplies. In 1831 they met at Cache Valley, Utah, near Logan.
A number of skills competitions were held then from which we will draw this year’s program. Mountain Men were proud of their ability to survive alone using only what nature had to offer.
