Mark your calendars for a day at the races. For the first time in years, Yolo District is holding a district wide Pinewood Derby race for Cub Scouts. This event will be at the Woodland Masonic Center, 228 Palm Avenue, on Saturday, April 5, 2008. This is an open event, no cost and no registration required.
Any Cub Scout in the Yolo District can attend, either with their den, pack and/or their family. Cubs can race the car they built for their pack races, or another they have built within the past year. There will also be prizes for construction and decoration. There will be non-racing activities and refreshments. The intention is to have a fun event where the Cubs can compete in a slightly larger field.

The intention is that any car entered in pack races should be eligible to enter the District races.
