Join the Golden Empire Council for our GEC Camp-In programs we will be offering monthly starting in September.  

For each weekend, there will be free programming available to all of our units.  We will host a campfire on Friday evening for our Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA units and we encourage all of our Scouts to spend the weekend camping out in their back yard or their living room.  Pop a tent where it works best for your family - just get to camping!  We will also have a check in activity at noon on Saturday and another campfire Saturday night.  The weekend will be finished off with an interfaith service on Sunday morning.  We hope you will join us!

We would love to use your best skits in our programs.  If you have something you wish to be included in the campfire, please send it to camping@gec-bsa.org.

For those wanting a little more programming, we will be offering both Cub Scout Adventure Beltloops and Merit Badge classes for a small fee.  Each weekend has different opportunities and you can choose your level of involvement.  

Click here for information on the Cub Scout offerings for September - Decemter. Two sessions are available each Saturday lasting for only two hours each for each rank (Tigers through Arrow of Light).  Courses are $10 each.

Click here for information on the Scouts BSA Merit Badges offered from September - December.  The Scouts BSA Merit Badge classes are in the morning and afternoon Saturday and Sunday.  (It is possible the Sunday class will not be needed, but we wanted to make sure we have the time needed to provide quality instruction.  Classes run from 8-12 and from 1-5.  Each Scout can select a morning class and an afternoon class if they would like to do both.  Just one is ok too if that fits into your schedule better.  Your choice! Only $10 each.  

Please understand that we send "completion reports" and not blue cards.  Please verify with your unit that this is acceptable before you start any Merit Badge programs.  Scouts also need to follow the Merit Badge program system and check with your Scout Master first before beginning any programs.
