You won't want to miss the "TEAM SOIL - BMX Bike Show",  National Guard climbing walls, bring your car for the Pinewood Derby Races, Car Shows, and check out our new merchandise.  Scouts, Scout Leaders, Eagle Scouts, Families, Friends, Guests and all those interested in our great program, are invited to participate in the California Capitol March.

Councils from all over California have been invited to help celebrate this historic event, hosted by the Golden Empire Council in Sacramento on Saturday, October 24, 2009 as we kick-off the 2010 Centennial celebrating 100 years of Scouting.

Our goals are to:

  • Hold a Centennial celebration to honor Scouting’s 100th Anniversary in America.
  • Bring together Councils in California to demonstrate Scouting's strength.

  • Promote Scouting to encourage business, community and elected leader support and to invite youth and families to join the Boy Scouts of America.

  •

Overview:

We have confirmed that Mr. Robert Mazzuca, Chief Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, will be attending. Mr. Mazzuca is a former Sacramento resident and Scout Executive of the Golden Empire Council.
