River Runner Patch Set
Description:
Individual patch segments (brown borders with blue backgrounds) are earned for completion of a canoe or raft trek down the listed rivers. The main RIver Runners patch and the red background Basic Paddle Sport Awareness patch segment are earned upon completion of the High Adventure Team's Basic Paddle Sports Awareness Seminar.
REQUIREMENTS:
Good water safety practices must be followed at all times.
1. Complete one or more of the following eight segments:
2. The Trek leader must be appropriately trained in water and canoe/raft safety and handling.
3. Each craft should contain at leat one qualified canoeist/rafter.
4. All participants must be qualified swimmers.
5. All participants must wear adaquate flotation devices
6. One or more segments can be earned during the trek with no requirement for an overnighter.
