General Questions
Is there outside food or drinks allowed on the base? Yes, outside food and drinks are allowed.
What is the policy on bringing dogs? Sorry, dogs are not allowed.
Are there etiquette rules on smoking that adults should be award of? Smoking is permitted, but only in designed areas away from the activity area.
Can Cub Scouts and Webelos be registered together? No, as they are in different program areas and must be registered using their own registration.
Parents/leaders need to complete a registration even if they are only dropping off participant or equipment? Yes, as they also need clearance to enter the base.
Do parents need also registration and is it the same cost as the Scout? Parents of Cub Scouts should register together if they are coming together, but Cub Scouts can have 2 come with 1 parent.
Cub Scouts Questions
For the Cub Scout Program, do we need to provide our own lunch/dinner? A "Dinner Meal" ticket is available for $5.00 for those participating in the Cub Scout program. However, participants can bring their own food.
Is it a 4-1 ratio for chaperones? For unit registration, the ratio is 1 adult for every 4 youth to maintain 2 deep leadership. For family registration, a minimum of 1 adult needs to register with the youth they are bring.
Can families register if the pack isn't? At the bottom of the "Cub Scout Basic Information" registration page you will be asked "Is this a unit or family registration?". Pack's registering should click "Unit" and families would click "Family".
Siblings Questions
Is there a registration for siblings? Do they need to register? Is there a fee? Yes, siblings can attend. They need to register with the Cub Scout program and their fee is $25.00
Is there an age limit for the registration fee? Yes, 5 - 8, Lion and Cub Scout age.
Is there free admission for children under a certain age? No free admission as all registrants receive a Cub Scout t-shirt and participant in the activities and program.
Webelos Questions
Webelos are staying one night and Boy Scouts/Venturers are staying two nights. Why is the fee for Webelos higher? Reason for the difference is the cost of food. Boy Scouts and Venturers provide their own food as the Troop/Crew directs. Webelos and their parents will receive a T-shirt, patch, and their meals are taken care of.
Boy Scouts Questions
What Merit Badges be offered at the "Merit Badge Midway"? Will they be drop in or have to registered in advance? How will this work? The Merit Badge Showcase is an opportunity for Boy Scouts, Venturers and Sea Scout to learn about a variety of Scouting merit badges. As this is a learning experience, merit badges can not be earned.
