Registration is open through November 30, 2017 or until the spots are filled! Registration is available online only. A seminar description is available on the HAT web pages (go to TRAINING>HAT). For the Indoor & Outdoor Practical Sessions: Training dates are Saturday, December 9th & an overnight trip to Tahoe Village Campground on Saturday & Sunday, January 13-14, 2018. You must attend both sessions to complete the ourse.
Snow Camping and Snow Outing can provide some of the finest Ultimate High Adventure Activities. The application of Cold Weather Camping skills begins when the temperatures approach 60 degrees. Based on the National BSA High Adventure OKPIK Training course, this Awareness Seminar covers the skills and techniques for planning and leading a successful, safe and enjoyable cold weather outing.
Professional quality, the High Adventure Team program brings together experts from the Forestry Service, Rescue Ski Patrol, Outfitters, Physicians and Experienced Volunteers Scouter to share their expertise with you!
Bring water and all meals. Snacks will be provided. All participants must bring a completed BSA A/B Medical Form and any forms the Course Director sends you which will be turned-in at the door on the first day of the course. The medical forms will be returned at the end of the course. The course is open to all BSA registered adults and Scouts over 15 years old. Your registration must be paid in full with in 7 days of registration and no later than by November 30, 2017 at which time, the wait-list registrants will be contacted.
