Honoring our commitment to delivering the best possible program to our youth, in Golden Empire Council we require all direct-contact adult leaders to complete basic training for their position . Untrained direct-contact leaders lose the privilege of serving in that capacity and will be dropped from their unit charters when the unit renews its charter at the end of the year.
Your unit can see what training your leaders have completed by using the MyScouting.org account of your committee chair, top unit leaders, or chartered organization representative (the unit "key three").
Every youth deserves a trained leader. Thank you for your service and for seeking the training opportunities that will help you better serve our Scouts. For more information, contact the Training team at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Select Menu and then Legacy Web Tools - Click on Manage Member ID
Enter BSA ID# (contact email@example.com if you do not know this) as well as our council name from the drop down menu (Golden Empire Council - Sacramento, CA - #47).
When completed, click SAVE PROFILE (located just above MEMBERSHIP INFO).
The page will update and you are done.
Select Menu and then My Dashboard - Click on Training Center to see all On-line Training available. Select Requirements to see a list of training required for the position(s) on your BSA membership record.
My.Scouting Tips: Once successfully completed an online course, the radio dial button will change colors - from yellow (not started) to blue (in progress) to green (completed). Please keep in mind, if a course has been successfully completed, but the radio dial button has not changed in color, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, the course name and the date completed, and we will update your record manually for you, and send you a pocket training completion card. There is no need to take the course a second, or third time.
