Boy Scout Mission and Vision Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

Dear Golden Empire Council Leaders,

A lot of the Covid restrictions have been lifted. This is a good thing, but the council can't stress high enough the need to take the appropriate precautions.

Below are the various county regulations. Please read the pages that most affect you. Always do the right thing and Be Prepared for any changes that may take place. Respect the wishes of other organizations. The situation continues to be fluid.

COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

The Golden Empire Council is thankful for your continued support! We are better together. The Key 4 and Executive Board voted in agreement on a new council fee. The council fee went into effect on August 1, 2022.

Camp Winton, Camp Lassen, NorCal Adventure Area! You can not take the outing out of Scouting. The outdoor program is the feature about Scouting that appeals to youth, and a week at summer camp is a mountaintop, lakefront, and high adventure experience.
