At the Golden Empire Council we teach Scouts to challenge their limits and learn new skills. Advancements help Scouts on their journey to Eagle! We provide youth with the opportunity to learn, grow, and build self-confidence! Scouting is all about overcoming challenges and personal growth. The primary goal of each advancement is to offer mentorship and hands-on experience. Types of advancements include merit badges, trail to Eagle, Sea Scout Advancements, Venturing Advancements, and much more!

There are more than 135 merit badges that you get to choose from! Our merit badge program allows you to learn more about your interests and discover new ones. There is unlimited creativity allowed! Partner with your leader to introduce you to the right counselors for your desired badge. Always maintain the Scout Buddy System for each meeting with your Merit Badge Counselor.
